I'm currently a recent graduate at CSU Channel Islands with a B.S in Computer Science. I am currently looking for roles in Software engineering or IT. In my free time I enjoy building full-stack web applications, with a focus on using React for the front end and Spring Boot for the back end. Outside of tech, I love going on hikes and spending quality time with my cat.
Type-Battle is a real-time multiplayer typing race game with a twist players compete to type a shared passage while random mini-games interrupt the race, giving winners power-ups that can shift the outcome. Even slower typists can win by dominating these mini-games, which include reaction tests, math problems, and memory challenges. Built with React, Spring Boot, Firebase, and WebSockets the project showcases full-stack development and real-time gameplay synchronization.
I built Chameleon, an Android wellness and social media app where users can create and share journal entries, upload photos, and interact in a community feed. The app leverages Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Storage for secure, scalable data management. Firebase Authentication ensures secure user access, while custom features like a camera and gallery for image uploads make the app both practical and engaging. Chameleon is focused on promoting wellness and building a supportive community around shared experience
Created JavaScript-based automation tool to streamline content management across 40+ university websites. The tool uses Omniupdate API to detect and bulk check in all checked-out content throughout every CSUCI website. This replaces a time-consuming manual process. I used custom API calls to GET access to every website, checked in content on the current user using it. After I used a POST request to change all content to checked out. The tool also checks whether or not content is scheduled, if it is then it doesn’t check it out. I created this because I wanted to solve the issue of content being accidentally checked out when it wasn’t supposed to. When content was checked out by accident it would lead to delays and confusion across different departments. This tool is now used daily by the CSUCI web team as part of the end-of-day procedure.
A Java-based application, I integrated NASA's WorldWind API to visualize real-time earthquake data from the USGS Earthquake API on a 3D globe. This project required parsing complex geospatial data from JSON files and live feeds, allowing users to interact with dynamic maps and network graphs. With customizable update intervals and dynamic layer creation, I was able to present earthquake data in an engaging and informative way. I used Gradle for build automation, ensuring an efficient development process while working with large datasets.
I developed a full-stack web application to manage contacts, utilizing React for the front-end and Spring Boot with SQL for the back-end. The app implements a RESTful API to facilitate communication between the front-end and back-end, allowing users to create, update, and delete contacts. Data is stored securely in a SQL database and displayed using clean, user-friendly HTML and CSS. This project showcases my ability to handle both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and responsive design.
